It’s important for our mattresses to support mobility, so we paid close attention to edge support. Did the mattress's build help us get off the edge as we sat, or did we sink? We also looked at pain-relieving features like pressure relief and bounce.

Pain relief

Pain relief is a weighted combined score based on how well each mattress bounced and relieved pressure. It also accounts for edge support in both lying and sitting positions.

Pressure relief 

Using a thermal imaging pressure mat that projects data onto a map, we had our testers lie down on their backs, their stomachs, and both sides.
