July 2, 2025, Arlington, VA—The National Council on Aging (NCOA), the national voice for every person’s right to age well, welcomes Lance Robertson to its Board of Directors effective July 1, 2025.
“Lance brings a tremendous wealth of experience in the aging sector,” said Ramsey Alwin, NCOA President and CEO. “His multi-faceted perspective will help propel NCOA on its mission to ensure that all can age well in America.”
A U.S. Army veteran, Robertson has a distinguished career in aging services, spanning three decades in government, advocacy, and academia. He co-founded the Gerontology Institute at Oklahoma State University, was executive director of PartnerShips for Aging, and president of the National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities.
“I am delighted to join NCOA’s Board of Directors to help further its mission,” said Robertson.
By 2035 we’ll have more older adults than younger people. That’s going to demand a pivot in how we care for our society and help those who have the most critical needs, so that people can remain in their homes and thrive.”
Currently a partner at the global consulting firm Guidehouse, Robertson was previously the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Aging, where he succeeded Kathy Greenlee, former NCOA Board Chair. Prior to that, he was director of Aging Services at the Oklahoma Department of Human Service.
