Prior to NCOA, he brought a deep passion for philanthropy and a strategic approach to revenue growth to his role as Head of Global Philanthropy at Globally, an international social enterprise organization. PIttman assumed his role at Globally in March 2024, during which time he served as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

His prior roles include Chief Development Officer at NeighborWorks and leadership positions at the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers (WRAG) and the Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility at Johns Hopkins University. Pittman was pivotal at WRAG, overseeing member relations, marketing and communications, and revenue growth. During his tenure, he cultivated relationships with over 100 of the most prominent foundations and corporate giving programs in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, advancing WRAG's mission and promoting equity. Additionally, he served as the Executive Director at the Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility at Johns Hopkins University, where he led efforts to develop post-COVID strategies and operations that catered to evolving learning needs, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of corporate social responsibility, ESG (environmental, social, and governance), and impact investing.

From his extensive experience in domestic and international philanthropy and corporate social responsibility, Pittman has a proven track record of generating over $820 million to support operational and program communities worldwide. He is widely recognized as a national expert trainer, author, and speaker on successful strategies for engaging with public, private, and community stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating the impact of local and national programs and events in marginalized communities.

Pittman's insights have been featured in prominent publications, including Black Enterprise and The New York Times. He has also appeared on shows like Spotlight on Television Broadcast and written numerous papers and articles, including those published in the Journal of Urban Affairs.
