Megan Nizza, LMSW, is a doctoral candidate at Boston University School of Social Work, focusing on aging, social policy, and program development. She is a Research Fellow at Boston University’s Center for Aging & Disability Education & Research (CADER) and a mentee with the National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment (NCAEM) mentorship program. Her research centers on the identification, intervention, and prevention of elder mistreatment and elder self-neglect. Prior to beginning her PhD studies, she served as Program Supervisor for a statewide elder mistreatment intervention at a nonprofit organization. While completing her MSW, she is proud to have interned at a senior center in NYC.
