This webinar brought together representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration and the aging network to discuss ways to connect veterans to benefits.
To assess how the aging services infrastructure can support prevention efforts, the University of Pittsburgh CDC Prevention Research Center partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging APPRISE program to deliver the 10 Keys to Healthy Aging. APPRISE is a Medicare counseling program offered at senior centers; the 10 Keys is a series of behavior activation workshops for people aged 50+ that cover U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and other evidence-based recommendations for health promotion. In 2013-16, 1534 older adults at 83 sites participated in the APPRISE-10 Keys program.
