Shaneece Gaines is a subject matter expert in housing and economic security, including debt counseling and financial coaching. She brings extensive nonprofit experience, having managed a $50 million grant portfolio and led housing counseling and direct services initiatives at a national nonprofit intermediary. In that role, she oversaw a nationwide network of more than 160 organizations, a cross-functional team of 10, and a $2.2 million budget. Her expertise spans housing and financial counseling, including reverse mortgage and foreclosure counseling, homebuyer education, debt counseling, financial coaching, and access to federal, state, and local benefits. She previously worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer, helping individuals and families navigate mortgages, refinancing, housing affordability, and homeownership. Gaines holds a Master of Public Administration from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kent State University.
