Judy Echavez, JD, LLM, serves as a public affairs specialist and communications coordinator for the Consumer Products Safety Commission. She is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist with more than a decade of experience. Echavez has worked on-air in radio and television and has covered news in various markets, including Miami, New York, Hartford, and Los Angeles. Prior to joining CPSC, she worked for the Department of Homeland Security. She graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, with a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws in Intercultural Human Rights.
