Articles ByDaniel Davis works in the Center for Economic Well-Being at NCOA, focusing on individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid and empowering consumers to make informed choices as to a model of care coordination that best addresses their needs. In this capacity, he also serves as a Medicaid subject matter expert with additional expertise in Medicare and national health policy with particular emphasis on persons with disabilities and older adults. His career has focused on empowering individuals with the information they require to make informed choices, as well as strengthening access-to-care, care coordination, and disaster response for these populations. He brings two decades of experience in the non-profit sector, two congressional committees, and the Administration for Community Living. Prior to his government service, Davis was a policy analyst and acting policy director at the National Council on Independent Living, a cross-disability non-profit representing centers for independent living serving people with disabilities of all ages.
