Afroze Shaikh, MA, NCC, is a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Practice program at Georgia State University. She completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine in 2020. Her research interests include suicide intervention and substance use within underserved communities.
