Waking up stiff or sore or having trouble getting comfortable enough to sleep may indicate that your mattress is no longer meeting your comfort needs. If you notice visible sagging, water damage, tears, or lumps, it is likely time for a replacement. Additionally, if your asthma or allergies have taken a turn for the worse, this could be caused by dust mite, mold, or dead skin buildup in an older mattress.
