Sarah Handzel, BSN, RN

Sarah Handzel started her freelance writing business in 2016 as a way to use her nursing knowledge beyond the bedside, helping to educate, inform and motivate consumers, patients and other health care providers to action. Prior to starting her business, Handzel worked in a variety of health care specialties, including the pharmaceutical industry, operating room/surgery, endocrinology, and family practice. With more than nine years of clinical practice experience, her unique insights into the health care industry help her craft compelling content that targets both health care consumers and clinicians. Handzel has a bachelor’s of science in nursing, as well as one in zoology.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys yoga, scuba diving, cross stitching, and exploring local craft breweries with her husband.
