Dr. Ruth Buahnik (aka Dr. Reisman), AuD MBA CCC-A is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in New York State. She holds certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Buahnik led the Audiology department for Lenox Hill Hospital for nearly a decade! She is also an associate professor for the CUNY Graduate Center and Touro College in their Audiology and Communication Departments. She has been recognized as the first audiologist to successfully fit the new Maxum Middle Ear Implant in the tri-state area and the first in the country to successfully fit a Cochlear Bone Anchored Hearing Aid device with the magnetic attract implant system.

She currently supports the field of Audiology on several fronts by educating Audiologists on the counseling, fitting, and rehabilitation of hearing implants, furthering the field as a university professor, as well as assessing and rehabilitating auditory processing disorders, specializing in individuals with Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder AD(H)D and other comorbid disorders, in her private practice UrbanHearing.com.
