Amber Gum, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy, in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences, at the University of South Florida. Gum obtained her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas in 2002 and completed an NIMH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, in 2004, when she joined the faculty at USF. She conducts research on the integration of mental health services into aging service and primary care settings, for which she has received funding from NIMH, PCORI, RRF Foundation for Aging, and others. Gum maintains an active psychology license in Florida (since 2004).
