You may be missing out on an important benefit that helps thousands of older adults in Washington, D.C. put more food on the table. Only half of eligible seniors  in D.C. are receiving SNAP (also known as food stamps) each month. Don’t miss out on your benefits!
This service is provided by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and D.C. Hunger Solutions to improve the health and economic security of older adults in D.C.  If you fill out the form below, a staff member from D.C. Hunger Solutions will contact you to see if you are eligible for SNAP/food stamps and help you apply.

Note: This referral service is intended for D.C. residents only.  SNAP is the new name for the Food Stamp Program, so if you already get food stamps, please do not complete this form.  Here are the general income requirements for SNAP/food stamps (http://www.dchunger.org/pdf/snap_prescreener.pdf).  If your monthly income is above those numbers but you are older than 60 years and/or have a disability, you might qualify for SNAP if you have a lot of out-of-pocket medical expenses and housing costs.
