As the U.S. population ages, an increasing number of Americans with disabilities acquired early in life are living into their later years. These individuals are said to be “aging with disability” and represent a growing population with unique health care needs. This population challenges our usual definitions of what it means to age “successfully,” and calls for new policies and approaches to maximize access to health care, long-term services and supports, and evidence based programming.
This webinar series is hosted with support from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) and the National Council on Aging (NCOA).
