With the Older Americans Act due for reauthorization in 2011, the Administration on Aging (AoA) convened a series of listening forums across the country to solicit input for changes to the Act. More than 60 sessions were organized and input solicited online throughout 2010.
Much of the feedback revealed that the Act is working well. The statute provides flexibility for the Aging Services Network to effectively coordinate services that continue to meet the goals established by Congress.
To that end, AoA released a list of targeted changes to the Older Americans Act.
