Maggie Flowers is Associate Director, Economic Security. She plays a central role in the development of programmatic activities across NCOA’s economic security division. She directs the Economic Security Initiative, which offers innovative programs to help older adults create a plan to build their own economic security. Additionally, she oversees the Center for Benefits Access’ Benefits Enrollment Centers, which use person-centered strategies in a coordinated, community-wide approach to help low-income seniors access benefits.
Prior to joining the staff at NCOA, she was the Interim Director of the Elder Economic Security Initiative at Wider Opportunities for Women, where she led a multi-year national campaign to build economic security for elders and their families through advocacy, research, organizing, and outreach. She received her Master of Public Service and Administration, with a focus in nonprofit management, from Texas A&M University.
