Amy Ford is the Senior Director of Home Equity Initiatives and Social Accountability at the National Council on Aging. Ford leads a team in the Economic Security division that provides education, counseling and support across the country to older adults considering accessing their home equity. These activities serve older adults of low to moderate income that are considering accessing equity as part of a long term planning strategy, in addition to assisting seniors avoid foreclosure and remain in their homes.
Prior to NCOA, Ford supported housing counselors in the training division of a large community development organization- NeighborWorks America. Prior to that, Ford worked in Government and Community Relations at Loyola University Maryland on strategic community based partnership development.
Ford holds a BA in Psychology and received her MBA in Management from Loyola University Maryland.
