Benefits counselors use their best knowledge to assist low-income Medicare beneficiaries to apply for the programs for which they appear eligible. But sometimes a seemingly straightforward application gets rejected, or a client receives a lesser/partial benefit than expected. In these cases, what should you as a counselor do to help them?

In this webinar, we will walk through the ABCs of benefits applications and appeals:

  • B – Basics of eligibility
  • C – Challenging a determination

Learn strategies to troubleshoot and assist clients with appeals if their applications are denied for:

  • Part D Extra Help (LIS)
