Finding Benefits Just Got Easier with the New BenefitsCheckUp®!

Since 2011, NCOA’s BenefitsCheckUp® has helped more than 5.6 million people find more than $18.6 billion in benefits.

And now it’s even better.

A new streamlined design makes it even easier to learn if you or an older adult you know may be eligible for 2,500 federal, state, and private benefits programs that help pay for food, medicine, and more.

Here’s how it works:

Start with 7 questions

Start by answering 7 simple questions—your zip code, birthday, monthly income, marital status, and veteran status.

You will immediately see a list of programs that you might qualify for.

Keep going to get personalized results

To get results that are personalized to you—plus help applying for benefits—keep going by answering more questions.

Because every benefit program has its own set of rules, it’s important to provide as much information as you can to see if you qualify. But don’t worry—all information you enter on BenefitsCheckUp® is completely anonymous and confidential.

At the end of your BenefitsCheckUp®, you will receive a report that is personalized just for you, listing which programs you are likely to qualify for. In some cases, you can apply for the programs online. In other cases, you will receive the contact information of where you can apply.

Search the library

If you want to learn more about what kinds of programs are available first, you may want to search the resource library.

Select your state from the menu and the program categories you want to learn about. You will get a set of results like these. Simply click on the names of the programs to get more information about each.
