Older Americans Act
Promoting an investment in aging network programs
The Older Americans Act (OAA) funds critical services that keep older adults healthy and independent — services like meals, job training, senior centers, caregiver support, transportation, health promotion, and benefits enrollment.
OAA programs save tax dollars by keeping older adults healthy and in their own homes. Yet, funding for these programs has been stagnant for years. Funding is at least 12% less than needed to make up for eight years of funding shortfalls, keep pace with inflation, and the rise in the senior population.
We're urging Congress to expand its investment in OAA programs to meet critical needs in the community. Read what we're asking for.
