The Center for Healthy Aging helps community-based organizations develop and implement evidence-based programs that promote healthy lives for older adults.

Key Activities

Training and Technical Assistance

The Center can offer training and technical assistance on a wide range of healthy aging issues:

  • Webinars. Our webinar series covers topics including evidence-based programs, strategies for outreach and recruitment, sustainability, and more. Past webinar recordings can be accessed on our Vimeo channel; slides can be located in our Resource Library.
  • Conferences and workshops. Center staff offer workshops and presentations at numerous national and regional conferences throughout the year.
  • Individualized support. Got a question not answered by our existing resources on this site? Feel free to contact us for assistance.

Grantee Support

The Center for Healthy Aging also serves as a resource center for the Administration on Aging's Evidence-Based Disease and Disability Prevention Grants Program and the Recovery Act Chronic Disease Self Management Program grant, as well as the Aging Services network and other services providers

Publications

The Center produces issue briefs, case studies, fact sheets, and other periodic reports. The majority of these publications can be found in our Resource Library.

We also publish two bimonthly newsletters, the Center for Healthy Aging Enews and Falls Free Enews, which provide timely news and information about the Center's activities and falls prevention. To subscribe to receive our newsletters, send an email to cha@ncoa.org
