Falls Prevention State Profiles

The following documents were created to assist in education activities supporting falls prevention initiatives for older adults. Educating decision makers can take shape though several types of action, online or in-person, as individuals or groups. Effective education is a mix of identifying the right audience (such as the policymaker), having a persuasive message (clearly stating what you want to achieve and how it relates to the policy), and including an individual or local perspective (telling a story). Learn more about educating policymakers and use these documents to educate policy makers, key decision makers, stakeholders, and others about falls prevention in your state. The Center for Healthy Aging also has state profiles for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. Find those here.
