The following documents were created to assist in education activities supporting evidence-based health promotion and disease prevention interventions for older adults. Educating decision makers can take shape though several types of action, online or in-person, as individuals or groups. Effective education is a mix of identifying the right audience (such as the policymaker), having a persuasive message (clearly stating what you want to achieve and how it relates to the policy), and including an individual or local perspective (telling a story). Learn more about educating policymakers and use these documents to educate policy makers, key decision makers, stakeholders, and others about evidence-based health promotion and disease prevention programs in your state. The Center for Healthy Aging also has state profiles for fall prevention initiatives. Find those here.
