In recognition of the essential role mental health plays in th overall health, the Healthy Aging Program at CDC and the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) are have released two issue briefs focusing on the mental health of older adults.  This issue brief focuses on the topic of depression and highlights several evidence-based programs that communities can use to improve the mental health and quality of life for older adults.
