My Medicare Matters
My Medicare Matters includes national partners, federal agencies, hundreds of community organizations, and thousands of professionals and volunteers who assist people with Medicare.
AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals is the long-standing sponsor of My Medicare Matters and, through its support, NCOA has been able to help millions of people and thousands of community organizations.
My Medicare Matters has become a valued technical assistance resource for health care professionals. The program provides educational materials to consumers and community organizations, has a robust Web presence, and supports NCOA's drive to increase the number of people who can afford their medications through Medicare's Extra Help.
For people with Medicare, their family, friends, and caregivers, My Medicare Matters enables them to get the latest information in accessible, plain language, in English and Spanish. On the free Web site, visitors can:
- Learn how to choose a Medicare prescription drug plan that's right for them.
- Apply for Medicare's Extra Help for prescription drugs if they're eligible.
- Learn about Medicare's preventive benefits.
- Better understand their Medicare coverage.
For professionals and volunteers who help Medicare beneficiaries, the initiative offers My Medicare Community, where they can gather online to share critical information, access educational resources, and learn from each other.
