Retirement is not "golden" for all older adults. More than 13 million Americans aged 65+ are economically insecure—living on less than $22,000 per year.

These seniors struggle each day to stay afloat. They face rising housing and health care bills, diminished savings, and often job loss.

We're pioneering a new way to help. Our economic security navigators look at each senior individually to help them access all the services they need to be secure—including benefits, legal services, housing, jobs, and more.

How We Help

  • Economic Security Service Centers
Our 20 centers provide one-on-one economic assistance to help disadvantaged seniors get on the path to economic security. See a directory.

  • Savvy Saving Seniors
In partnership with Bank of America, we've developed a toolkit to help professionals host money management workshops for seniors in their community. Get the toolkit.

  • Protection against Scams
Older adults can be highly susceptible to financial scams and predators. With the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, we're helping seniors protect themselves and find support. Learn more.

  • One Away Campaign for Elder Economic Security
We're giving vulnerable older adults a chance to tell their own stories and call for change. Watch a video, share a story, and email Congress on OneAway.org.
