Medicare Advantage Special Enrollment Periods

Generally, your clients must remain in the Medicare Advantage plan they enrolled in for the remainder of the year. There are a few exceptions, called Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs), that permit them to change plans.

Here we review some of the most common circumstances that permit a change of plans at times other than during the annual Open Enrollment Period and the annual Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period (MADP).
