Medicare Advantage and Duals

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), of the nearly 16 million people enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans in 2014, over 2 million (roughly 15%) are duals -- people with both Medicare and Medicaid. Most duals also may qualify for one of the Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs).  MSPs help cover some of the costs in Medicare, such as premiums and cost-sharing amounts.
