Find Programs

NCOA has several programs that work to further the health of older Americans:

  • The Center for Healthy Aging is a national resource center for professionals interested in developing and implementing healthy aging programs. It provides easy access to resources--manuals, toolkits, model programs, and Web sites--on topics related to healthy aging, including these:
    • Health promotion.
    • Falls prevention.
    • Disease prevention.
    • Chronic disease self-management.

  • The Prescription for Better Health campaign will make valuable health services available to senior center participants and members.

  • Diffusion of Innovations is an expert system designed to speed the adoption of new ideas and programs, including health promotion programs, into senior centers around the country.

  • As part of its Health Education program, NCOA conducts and releases national surveys and helps to implement hundreds of local educational seminars at senior centers each year.

  • BenefitsCheckUp is a free, confidential online service. It helps seniors with limited income and resources find benefits programs that help with prescription drug costs, rent, energy bills, food, and more.

  • My Medicare Matters is a community-based education program that is helping thousands of people with Medicare learn about and enroll in the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D).
