Presentation Now Online: Attitudes of the Over-50 Crowd
The PowerPoint presentation is now available from a recent NISC Webinar: - Seniors' Attitudes Toward Work, Service, Learning and More
This presentation... - Shared attitudes of the over-50 crowd toward work, community service, and lifelong learning.
- Addressed how different segments of the over-50 population respond to adjectives describing this stage of life.
- Discussed the implications for senior center participation and programs.
Hosts: - Bob Pitman, NISC chairperson
- Jay Morgan, NISC Web monitor
The hosts reviewed results from an audience response "Opinion Theater" session held at the St. Petersburg’s Sunshine Senior Center. This audience represented members of the GI, Silent, and Boomer generations, some of whom participate in senior center programs and some who don’t. Next, the hosts compared those results to survey and focus group results from a civic engagement project in Bartholomew County, IN.
