FALLS PREVENTION: Safe Steps: A Falls Prevention Program for Seniors

Overview:

In this session, explore three individual and synergistic interventions--home modifications, physical activity, and medication management--that have been proven to reduce fall-related deaths and injuries in the home. 

Learn the components of the Home Safety Council’s Safe Steps program, results of two public perception polls related to older adults, and upcoming falls prevention initiatives.
