Sung Kwon has served as the national executive director of the North American Division Adventist Community Services since 2001. Adventist Community Services is the humanitarian agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that works within the United States and Bermuda. As the needs of people become increasingly more complex, ACS aims to adapt its effective service delivery strategies by integrating continued leadership education, building collaborative partnerships, and expanding the scope of community services.

Sung Kwon studied business administration at the University of Maryland; received a bachelor's degree in theology from Columbia Union College in Maryland; and earned a master's degree in public administration, concentrated in nonprofit management from Wright State University in Ohio.
