See a brief overview of the community-based program A Matter of Balance, a program specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling, stop the fear of falling cycle, and improve activity levels among community-dwelling older adults.
This Partnership in Aging initiative is one of the 14 Administration on Aging, Disease Prevention demonstration projects working to translate the research into practical health promotion and injury prevention programs for implementation by community-based organizations.
NCOA’s Center for Healthy Aging serves as AoA’s National Resource Center. We encourage members of the aging services network to learn more about evidence-based health promotion programs.
