An Independent Evaluation of the Integrated Care Program: Results from the First Year

Sponsored by: Friday Morning Collaborative

States are increasingly establishing or expanding Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) programs.

Home and community-based (HCBS) quality measures and monitoring activities are essential tools for consumers and states to ensure protections, enhance choice and plan performance, and align incentives to meet desired goals such as rebalancing or promoting options for self-direction.

This webinar will highlight efforts in two states implementing new MLTSS programs:

  1. Explore findings from an external evaluation in Illinois tracking the transition to MLTSS and consideration of HCBS measures as the program integrates LTSS.
  2. Learn about CQL | The Council for Quality Leadership’s Personal Outcomes Measures® and how New York is planning to utilize this tool in its new MLTSS program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Speakers:

  • Tamar Heller, University of Illinois at Chicago
  • Beth Mathis, The Council for Quality and Leadership
  • Katherine Bishop, New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities
