One in three seniors aged 65+ falls each year, and this number increases to one in two by the age of 80.

Each year, the Falls Free® Initiative sponsors Falls Prevention Awareness Day to promote and increase public awareness about how to prevent and reduce falls among older adults.

This year’s theme is Preventing Falls—One Step at a Time, and event is set for Sept. 22.

Listen as a panel of researchers, educators, and program leaders from across the country share their innovative partnerships to promote falls prevention awareness and discover new resources that you can use to spread the word.

  • The important role that Geriatric Education Centers and Emergency Medical Services can play in promoting falls prevention
  • How STEADI is being used to advance health care practice partnerships
