NCOA is offering a new program that senior centers can use to educate seniors about potential risks associated with high-tech technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and pacemakers.
The free events provide older adults with family/personal history evaluations and screenings for heart rhythm, blood pressure, and edema. Expert speakers discuss MRI safety, possible risks for seniors with pacemakers, and what to ask a physician.
